Our experience extends across a very broad range of event and temporary demountable structures, including standard truss systems; specialist structures, e.g. LED lighting frames; stage frames – traditional, dome, mobile and hybrid; site structures, including access bridges and towers; fencing; seating; overlay structures and scaffolding.
Our engineers understand the versatility and usefulness of aluminium as a structural material. We have developed our own suite of specialist design aides based on many years of design work with this material.
Our expertise extends to the use of British, European and American design standards.
We will accurately model your event structure using our 3-dimensional frame analysis software and check it for code compliance, taking account of the method of installation. Following satisfactory checks of the frame, we prepare a report, which includes relevant calculations and analysis, together with recommendations on load/use limitations and support/ballast requirements.
The format of the report is acceptable to building control and checking authorities.
We can provide a range of tailored services to suit the type of ‘insitu’ event structure being installed.
Our inspection and report service can include: checking of installed structures to confirm compliance with the design; specification and witness full scale testing of products; verification that a system meets requirements of the IStructE ‘Temporary Demountable Structures’; assessment of allowable wind speed and advice on suitable action levels for risk assessments; and confirmation of ballast/support requirements for local operating conditions.
