BIM for Civil Engineering

As part of our company wide Building Information Modelling (BIM) implementation, our civil engineering teams utilise the latest version of Autodesk infrastructure design suite on projects such as highways, land remodelling, drainage and infra-structure projects. We can output our design drawings in a wide variety of digital formats, as well as exporting information to our structural BIM (REVIT) systems.

Drainage

We provide a complete drainage design service, including Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategy, drainage analysis and design, and Sustainable Urban Drainage (SUDS). Now, more than ever, this is an important service, which is why we offer a focussed drainage strategy, in conjunction with the flood risk assessments.

This allows the optimum solution to be selected and designed to meet the requirements of planning and statutory authorities. Our drainage engineers are able to highlight potential problems and offer effective solutions to reduce environmental impact.

Sustainable Urban Drainage (SUDS)

In order to reduce the likelihood of flooding, reduce water pollution and replenish ground water supplies, it is often possible to incorporate Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS) into the project. SUDS is an alternative approach to conventional drainage design and implementation. If designed correctly, it replicates natural drainage as near as possible for the site prior to its development. Our solutions also include re-use and recycling of water within sites.

External Works

We provide bespoke civil engineering services, including design, detailing and specifying external works, for the external area around new buildings and sites.

Our services include: topography and 3D ground modelling of existing and proposed site levels; enabling works to allow development to proceed; engineering of external paved areas and surface water assessment, including attenuation measures, sewer diversions; and new drainage. Our models offer our clients accurate cut/fill volumes, existing and proposed site contours, cross sections and setting out information.
