Whitbread Premier Inn Cambridge
This BREEAM project involved a new six-storey hotel built on a brownfield site in central Cambridge.
Scott White and Hookins were appointed from early on in the design and build scheme through to completion to help ensure BREEAM criteria were embedded in the developing design, in order to maximise the “early” credits that could be gained.
The project scored well across all the BREEAM sections but the early involvement and careful management of site procedures by the Main Contractor ensured high scoring in both the Management and Waste sections, in particular.
The project subsequently achieved its targeted BREEAM Very Good rating.
