Waldorf Hotel Aldwych, London
Work at the famous Waldorf Hotel in London included a survey which entailed abseiling, as well as an extensive renovation, whilst the hotel had to remain open in order to offer its renowned hospitality to its guests.
Abseiling techniques were used to survey the external envelope of the building, which would have been virtually impossible to do so, by any other means.
A full dimensional survey of the internal floors was also carried out.
The major refurbishment at the Waldorf entailed the renovation of the front façade, including major structural repairs and the upgrading of all the bedroom accommodation, all happening whilst the hotel remained in use.
