Travis Perkins Aylesford, Kent
To meet its planning conditions, SWH worked with Travis Perkins to review and outline the best value credits for the scheme, to get the required BREEAM Good rating.
This project consisted of a large, new builder’s merchant unit, strategically positioned near to the M20 in Aylesford, Kent.
It required a BREEAM Good rating in relation to its planning conditions and Scott White and Hookins worked with the project team to review and outline the best value credits for the scheme.
The provision of extensive recycling facilities, for both the customers and staff, along with careful waste management, during the construction process led to the scheme scoring very highly in the Waste category of the assessment.
Careful selection of sustainable building materials and the inclusion of robust durability measures helped the project to score all the credits available under the Material section of the assessment.
These measures, along with specification of water saving sanitary fittings, helped the scheme in achieving the targeted BREEAM rating overall.
