The SWH working environment

Great teams are made up of motivated individuals. Here at SWH, we are focussed on creating supportive and productive working environments, across all of our offices, as well as allowing for at remote and home working. We have three offices, but adopt a one company mentality with collaboration across many projects.

We are also proud to offer a team of mental health first aiders, social events and team building activities to promote more than just hard work but well-being, fun and social interaction too.

Apprentices, Students and Graduates

SWH is committed to training and facilitating new people to join the construction industry. As an apprentice or trainee, SWH will enable you to gain valuable ‘hands-on’ working experience, as well as offer opportunities such as day release to complete a formal qualification, whilst also earning money at the same time. From NVQs, HNCs and on to other further and higher education opportunities, Scott White and Hookins will guide and support you to reach your goals.

We are also very proud of the many years of support we have offered to students, undergraduates and graduates from engineering and associated disciplines. This includes short work experience as well as longer placements. Our ‘Success Student’ scheme, along with our partner universities, gives undergraduates the opportunities to work during their summer vacations or as part of a sandwich course. We can then offer some the opportunity to join us upon graduating, to become part of our team and start graduate training programme. Our graduates gaining widespread project experience in their early years in the workplace, which offer a strong foundation for moving towards chartership and senior roles of responsibility.
